Manaslu Trek is getting more popular day by day as it is one of the most scenic adventures in the Himalayas. It also provides an opportunity to experience a different culture in a particular region of the Himalayas. Most of the parts of this region are unexplored and hidden because it is still a restricted region for foreigners. Foreigners can visit this area if they issue a special permit from government authorized company, and a guide is mandatory to trek to the Manaslu. In addition, at least 2 trekkers need to get special permission. That is why, if you are planning a solo trek, unfortunately, I must say it is quite impossible. Nonetheless, you can get a permit by paying the charge for a permit for 2 people. Besides that, you can share a permit or you can search for trekking partners to get the permit. It will also save you money as you don’t need to spend money on an extra person.
Finally, we have some ideas to find trekking partners for you. We have decided to share your name, arrival date, and trip duration on a page of our website. If someone is interested to share a permit and trekking with you, then s/he can join you. Remember, we only share your information if you want a trekking partner and agree with our terms and condition. It could help you to join another trekker for Manaslu Circuit Trek or Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek. So you can comment or contact us.
We often receive inquiries from travelers who don’t want to trek in a group. They just want a solo trek with a fixed departure. So, considering the wish of solo trekkers, we published an article about the Manaslu trek cost previously. I hope it will help you to prepare for your trip plan.
hi,
I am looking for others to do the manaslu trek sometime between february 7-28 (i am flexible on my itinerary). i have two questions:
a) i understand guest houses will be open at this time…is this true?
b) do you have individuals or groups looking for another to join their trek?
i plan to carry my own gear, so i would be comfortable with just a porter-guide. i have trekked in tibet and nepal before (everest, annapurna) so i am familiar with the region.
thanks for the insight.
