Daal Bhaat - Nepali Khana

While you are away from your home and doing some kind of adventure activities like trekking, your health should be the first priority to care for. Because it is an unknown place for you. Unfortunately, if you got into some kind of health problem while you are trekking, it will be really hard to take you to the hospital. Because the trekking areas are remote and so barren. Without helicopter rescue, it will be almost impossible to take you to the hospital. But helicopter rescue is really expensive in the Himalayas. It will cost around 4 – 5 thousand USD. So trekkers should make travel insurance which must cover rescue above 5000 m before coming to trek in the Himalayas.

While you are trekking to Manaslu, eating bad foods might cause problems in your health. So you should choose a kind of meal which is suitable for the place where you are now in.

Available food Options in Manaslu Circuit Trek

Basically, Daal Bhaat (A typical Nepali food) is considered as best food while you are trekking in the Himalayas. And three times meals are required to have daily. Mostly, trekkers need to have soup, which supplies sufficient water level into their bodies. It is required to have at least 5 liters of water daily while you are trekking in the Himalayas. Nevertheless, there are tea houses where you can find western food. However, we mostly recommend you have typical Nepali food rather than western food during the trek.
